The FHA-to-FHA streamline refinance, rule by rule
Seasoning: 210 days and six payments
Rule check
On the date the lender gets the FHA case number, four things must be true: you have made at least six payments on the FHA loan being refinanced; at least six full months have passed since its first payment due date; at least 210 days have passed since it closed; and if you assumed the loan, you have made six payments since the assumption.

Why the case number date matters
The tests are measured on case number assignment, not on your closing date. Starting too early can make a file ineligible.
